Why are the quantities in Locations different from the Inventory List?
Why are the quantities in Locations different from the
Inventory List?
All Orders 3.X
The Inventory List is essentially a
reconciliation between QuickBooks and NumberCruncher.
The differences would normally result in timing differences.
See
FAQ #64 for more information on differences between the
inventory list in NumberCruncher and the Items list in
QuickBooks.
Quantities in Location reflects only the transactions that your
have posted through NumberCruncher. So if you have posted invoices, bills
or adjustments directly in QuickBooks then NumberCruncher will not be able to
see the Location information resulting in a difference in the QuickBooks
quantities and hence the NumberCruncher inventory list.
If the QuickBooks quantities are correct and you wish to
reconcile to it, DO NOT make Quantity Adjustments in NumberCruncher
because adjustments affect QuickBooks as well. To correct this issue
you must do a one-sided transfer; a transfer with either the 'To' or 'From'
location left blank. If you want to decrease Inventory leave
the 'From' blank and visa-versa.
If the location quantities are correct and you wish to reconcile
QuickBooks to the total in all locations, do a quantity adjustment
THROUGH QUICKBOOKS (Vendors---> Inventory Activities --> Adjust Inventory
Quantity/Value.
