When I start Pocket Inventory on my Pocket PC I get the message "You must prepare the mobile unit.."
When I try to start Pocket Inventory on my Pocket PC I get a message stating "You must prepare the mobile unit before you may begin collecting data..."

This message is displayed when used attempt to load Pocket Inventory on the Pocket PC before checking it out. Pocket inventory uses a check-in/check-out system where a device is prepared with data for the transactions you wish to perform by checking it out. Checking out the Pocket PC is done by loading Pocket Inventory on the desktop PC, registering the Pocket PC currently connected through ActiveSync (if it is not already registered) and clicking the check-out button.
