I don't have QuickBooks, how can I test All Orders?
Applies to All Orders 6.1.27 or Earlier
Begining with version 6.1.29 you can run All Orders completely stand-alone. During the 'New Company' wizard simply check 'I do not want to link All Orders to QuickBooks'.
If you using earlier versions this article describes how you can test All Orders without
having QuickBooks.
Steps

Install the All Orders Client and Server, you can get a
link to download the set up from our
trial downloads page;

On the computer on which you installed the server, create a
folder (e.g. C:\AOTestData)

Download the
test file then
extract then .MDF into the new folder. There are two test files as follows;

SAMPLE_MANUFACTURINGBUSINESS has sample customer, vendors and items.

NCBase_No_QB is a blank file that is designed to operate as a stand alone solution.

Launch All Orders from the desktop icon, when you see the Welcome box,
click Cancel.

From the main menu select File > Maintain

Click the Advance Tab

Click the 'Server Setting' button,

Click on the first 'Browse' button and you will see the dialog
box that says Select NumberCruncher Data File. Where it says 'Save In'
select the folder created in #2 above. Where it says 'File Name' type in YOUR COMPANY NAME. Then press 'Save' which will bring you back to
'Server Setting'.

Click on the second 'Browse' button and you will see the dialog
box that says Select Open Database File. Where it says 'Save In' select
the folder created in #2 above. Using your mouse double click on the file
that says SAMPLE_MANUFACTURINGBUSINESS.mdf or NCBase_No_QB.MDF which will bring you back to 'Server
Setting'.

Under username enter 'sa' (without the single quotes) and
for the password enter 'sysadmin' is using MSDE SQL Server 2000 and
'sysadmin1' if using SQL Express 2005.

Click 'Save', after a few moments you will see a dialog box that
says 'The file is not attached to the server. Attach Now'. Click Yes.
