All Orders Feature Requests

When selecting "all", "open", or "closed" in a sales order or shipping document list. The filter should be applied automatically. If the "apply" button doesn't get clicked, you can believe that you are looking at all the closed sales orders when in fact all the open orders are listed. There should be no reason to have an "apply" button.

I have a request for future versions of All Orders. It would be extremely helpful to have a "PAST DUE" alert in the actual sales order screen based on the customers current aging balance. I know the balance is available under the Customers section, but with our high volume of orders going through, it would be very nice to have a fail-safe to ensure we do not ship to past due accounts. If I remember correctly, QB has a similar option so maybe it would be easy to pull the alert from there into AO?? Do you think this is possible to add in a future revision? I think this would be potentially helpful to many of your customers. Thank you very much for your time.

Users should have to be able to search an item in any document. I should type in the Item Number in the top box and show the Item. Like same search that it is in the Inventory Item List.

As a clothing company we are currently having customers send back items and purchase other items in the same transaction. It would be great if we could process and show a customer's exchange on a ship doc. Currently, due to the fact that ship docs can't show a negative inventory number, we can't show a cutomer's returned items along w/ the items that they are purchasing on a single ship doc.

We have a strict set of shipping requirements for each shipping address for our customers. We have special instructions for the customer, but these are in addition to. It would be very beneficial to have a field where we could add the instructions to the ship to address.

We would like to be able to sort both SO's and Ship Docs by the headers, to enable us to sort and re-sort by either items or description. This would make picking items far simpler in the warehouse, and allow our pickers to pick goods in numerical order. The sort should happen similarly to the lists, or Counts which can all be sorted by the headers. When the SO or Ship Doc is saved and closed the sort should stay in place. I are aware that a ship doc can be PRINTED with a sort in place, but then if there are any changes to be made to it before invoicing, it becomes difficult to then find the correct items to change if the Ship Doc in AO is in a different sequence to the printed ship doc.

Sales Orders can sort sales orders by item number, but it is a one way trip. It would be extremely useful if sorting could be done on description too. When building a large Sales Order you sometimes want to sort in different ways while working.

Create a function in AllOrders where a person could create a transfer that would allow for BACKORDERS. For instance, if I want to send 10 pieces of something to one of my remote warehouse sites, I can only enter a transfer for what I have on hand, buy more, then remember to cut another transfer. I would like to not have to remember, and have a transfer be fillable in the same manner as a back ordered item on a sales order or work order.

When recalculating reorder points it maybe hard to really determine how much of an item would have been used if it really were in stock for the entire time period. If there was a column showing how many days it was out of stock for out of the total days in the date range, that could be used in addition to the actual usage to determine new reorder points.

For users that manage more than one representative account (such as sales reps that manage their own accounts and house accounts, or managers that would like to oversee their rep's accounts) they need the ability to see not only their own accounts, but rather multiple accounts. This doesn't mean, however, that I want them to have the ability to see every account. This feature would be immensely useful. To allow reps to see more than one account (yet not every account) they must have a different user account for each rep account. For instance, my sales rep Jane that also manages the House accounts, must log in to her "Jane" account to access her customer profiles, and then log back out and in again immediately into a completely separate user account to access the House accounts - then back again to "Jane" to view her own.

Our products are sold through dealers who often have us dropship the items directly to their customer. Being able to quickly fill in the ship to address given on their PO, without having to create and save a new location everytime, would save a lot of time. Right now changing the address in a saved location changes all previous docs associated with that address.

It would be useful to have a DO NOT RE-ORDER function for items that are still in stock or in the market but you do not wish to re-order as they have become obsolete or there is a replacement item that is better to order. This can be like the inactive button but instead of eliminating this item completely from your stock list especially if you still have stock of it, AO will alert you while placing an order that this item has been marked as "Do NOT Re-Order".

We would like All Orders to keep track of engineering changes in the bill of materials through version tracking.

The current software only supports Reorder Points of 1 and above. Although it will display "0" in the item list, items with 0RP will not register in the reorder analysis. We have a number of specialty products as well as new items. We only keep one of these items in stock at a time due either to low demand, or to gauge demand between multiple makes/styles. Right now we have to manually find and reorder these items as they sell out, which is a very tedious process.

Track labor per work order or customer allowing you to input time and run a report to see how many hours it took to complete your project. 2nd part would allow you to put in estimated hours and see how you did against them.

I would like to see an email that would be specific to the shipdoc section. Quotes and invoices are sent to different people. The email field has been modified to handle multiple email addresses but you have to remember which email address to use.

Be able to email documents (Quotes, Sales Orders, Purchases Orders and Ship Docs) from their list. Normally when you have to send documents to customers or vendors you have to go to the list click the several documents you are going to send then select print, create a pdf and only then you go to email the from outside AllOrders. It will really be useful to be able to email from selecting the documents from their list and with a right click email as a one only pdf. (A little trick validating that it has to be selected only one customer or vendor at a time)

Would like to have the option to change status or sales order to ready without having to actually ship the order. Would like to be able to put negative items on the sales order.
